Brown Rice Quinoa Medley (FTDI)
Are you tired or bored of regular steamed brown rice? This is one of my favorite ways to make my brown rice/quinoa! It's so simple, yet so flavorful! Try it! You'll see!
Brown Rice Quinoa Medley (FTDI)
MooMoo Jackson Style
Ingredients:
1.5 cups Brown Rice
1/2 cup multicolored quinoa (can be any color, I just like how multicolored looks)
4 cups Homemade Chicken Broth (or water but it's much tastier with chicken broth)
Garlic & Herb Mrs. Dash to taste
Pink Himalayan Sea Salt to taste
Need: Use a Rice Cooker for this recipe (however, you can make it on the stovetop in a saucepan if you do not have one). It's just easier and quicker in a rice cooker!
Instructions:
1. Dump all ingredients into your rice cooker.
2. Turn your rice cooker ON and let it cook itself all the way through! EASY!
Note: If your rice cooker has a "Brown Rice" setting then select that one. If not then that's okay.
Portion info: Brown rice and quinoa are weighed AFTER they are cooked (women--2oz, men--3oz).
**FEEL FREE TO CHANGE IT UP BY ADDING ANY OTHER FAVORITE FLAVORS! TRY USING WHATEVER OTHER FTDI SEASONINGS YOU CHOSE! CAJUN, CURRY, LEMON PEPPER, SANTA FE, etc.

RECIPE Q&A's:
Q: Do I have to use multicolored quinoa? Where do I buy it?
A: NO. You can use whatever color quinoa you'd like. I just like how it looks with the multicolored grains in it. I like my food to look great as well as taste great! I buy mine at Stater Brothers, Trader Joe's, Clark's, or other Whole Food stores.
Q: What type of Brown Rice should I use
