Gummy Bears (FTDI)

Gummy Bears (FTDI)

These are coming to the movies with me! This recipe makes 100 GUMMY BEARS! (Not eating all 100 at one time though lol). For those who are FTDI: Sam approved sugar free Gelatine (or Jell-O) for 6wk challengers so these ARE FTDI! Keep in mind they have 5 calories per serving so don't go cray-cray but have a little fun! These don't count towards any food group, they're freebies........WOOHOO!!

RECIPE Q&A's:

Q: Is Gelatine FTDI?

A: Yes! If you are FTDI, Sam Bakhtiar, the creator of the 6wk challenge, approved sugar free Jell-O (or Gelatine) for challengers! You can trust my info because I am a Camp Facebook page moderator and work directly with Sam to ensure everyone is getting the most accurate FTDI info straight from the boss man!

Q: What is the portion size of these gummy bears?

A: There isn't a portion size. These do not fall into any food category for FTDI. They are "freebies!" However, just remember they do have calories so don't go crazy with them! There's 20 calories in one packet of Knox unflavored Gelatine so there's 60 calories for all 100 gummy bears I made (3 packs used). Eat smart if you're in a 6wk challenge.

Q: What are BCAA's? Where do I buy them?

A: BCAA stands for Branched Chain Amino Acids. It's a powder that you put into your water and drink, especially when you are working out and toning your body. They are critical for repairing muscle and help keep your body in a positive nitrogen balance to help you keep from losing all your hard earned muscle! MyoFX is The Camp's brand of BCAA's. You can by MyoFX products at any Camp location.

They are packed with 7 grams of Branched Chain Amino Acids plus an additional 2.5 grams of L-GLUTAMINE to maximize recovery! Glutamine is the most abundant Amino Acid in your body, making up approximately 60% of your skeletal muscle making it “conditionally essential”.

Q: What if I don't have or don't like BCAA's but I want some FTDI Gummy Bears?

A: You can use MyoFX Pre-FX Pre-workout in place of the BCAA's in this recipe. You can also use any zero calorie powdered drink enhancement such as Crystal Light (which will give you different flavor options as well). It has to be a powder.

Q: What if I don't have a gummy bear mold but really want to make these?

A: You can use an ice tray, or even just pour the entire recipe into a 9x9 pan then cut it into squares after freezing for 20mins.

Q: Where can I buy a gummy bear mold?

A: I bought mine at Amazon.com. It was $10, came with an eye dropper, and I got free shipping with my Amazon Prime membership! You can use any shape or size mold for these! You can even get a cheapy silicone ice tray at the Dollar Tree if you want!

Q: Can I use actual Jell-O in place of the Knox Gelatine?

A: Not in this recipe. It won't work out. You need to use Gelatine.
