Baked Turkey Breast (FTDI)

This baked turkey breast recipe is great for any day but it's a life saver on HOLIDAYS! It's a healthier version of our typical holiday turkeys we usually make and it's MOIST, DELISH, and satisfying! You don't even realize it's a healthier version! ENJOY!

BAKED TURKEY BREAST (FTDI)

MooMoo Jackson Style

Indgredients:

1 3lb Butterball frozen boneless Turkey BREAST Roast [I buy mine at Vons] (breast meat only--see my picture above)

4 egg whites (to brush on the turkey before applying the rub)

MMJ Holiday Rub prepared (see below)

1 small turkey baking bag (found in the ziplock bag aisle at any grocery store)

a tad bit of Oat Flour (just enough to shake up inside the turkey bag so that the turkey doesn't stick to the bag when baking)

HOLIDAY RUB INGREDIENTS (FTDI):

1/2 tbsp Pink Himalayan Salt

1/2 tsp Black Pepper

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp Onion Powder

1/2 tbsp Dried Parsley Flakes

1/4 tsp Paprika

1/4 tsp Coarse Sweet Basil

Instructions: PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES!

1. Thaw the turkey breast by putting it in the refrigerator a couple days before you want to cook it. Once thawed REMOVE THE SKIN before preparing and cooking it. This turkey breast is BONELESS but it is NOT skinless. Remove the skin so that it's less fattening and so that it's FTDI.

2. Rinse and dry your skinless turkey breast (make sure it's dry).

3. Brush the egg whites all over the turkey breast (to get it ready for the rub to stick to it).

4. Combine all the Holiday Rub Ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Rub the mixture all over the turkey breast coating it well.

5. Put approx a tbsp of Oat Flour in the turkey baking bag and shake it up to coat the bag (to help prevent the turkey from sticking to the bag while baking). Note: If you do not want to do this part then you can also spray the inside of your turkey baking bag with non-stick cooking spray).

6. Place prepared turkey breast in the baking bag, tie it shut with the tie that comes in the baking bag box (don't leave air in the bag or it might pop while baking--see my picture above of how it should look in the bag).

7. Put the bagged turkey breast into a baking dish and tuck all the excess bag (all the sides and corners) under the turkey (so that none of the plastic bag burns while it bakes).

8. Bake the turkey at 350 degrees for approx 2hrs or until cooked through (do not over bake it or it'll be dry).

ENJOY!!!!!
